From Bourne to Whaplode St Catherine

BOURNE

A coffee morning will be held in the United Reformed Church school room on Saturday, 10-11.30am.

CROWLAND

CROWLAND Cares coffee morning is on Friday, 10am– noon. Raffle, tombola and a cake stall. Phone 01733 211797 if you require transport.

ABBEYVIEW Surgery walk-in flu clinics are on Saturday, 8.30am–noon; Thursday, October 17, 4–7pm; Saturday, October 19, 8.30am–noon. Vaccination against influenza is advised and free at the surgery for all patients aged 65 and over or in an “at risk” group.

DONINGTON

THE Church Events Fundraising Committee gift day raised about £1,100 and thanks goes to everyone for their support. The money will be going towards the new lighting in the church. The committee have several events coming up including the harvest auction on Sunday at 2pm at the church hall; proceeds are to be divided between the junior school and the church. Coffee and Chat at the church on Saturday from 10am to noon. A beetle drive on October 25 at 7pm in the church hall. All welcome for a great night out for all ages. Nigel Creasey

GEDNEY DYKE

BINGO will be held in the village hall on the following Wednesdays, October 9, 16, 
23 and 30. Eyes down at 7.30pm.

HOLBEACH

HOLBEACH Town Band’s next monthly bingo is at the WI Hall, Holbeach on Friday. Eyes down at 7.30pm.

HOLBEACH Town Band and SADOS (Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society) are joining forces again to present an exciting evening of music from the musicals. The concert will take place at the Spalding Grammar School at 7.30pm on Saturday. Tickets are available from members of both organisations and from Calthrops Solicitors in Spalding and Holbeach. Tickets are £7, under 16s free. The band will open the concert with a varied selection of music from their repertoire, including Sky Fall and a selection of music from the musical Grease. SADOS will continue with a selection of songs. Then the band and singers will combine to perform the music and songs from three popular musicals.

THIS is your Life!, an intimate tour through the life of the cherished friends and family of Jesus of Nazareth, dead and alive at the time, will be performed by the Redeemed Theatre Company at All Saints’ Church, on Sunday at 6.30pm. LONG SUTTON

ROYAL British Legion women’s section hold its annual meeting and raffle on Monday at 7pm in the RBL Hall in West Street. The competition will be for the prettiest cup and saucer and there will be a fish and chip supper. For more information phone 01406 364159.

OLD Long Sutton in pictures is being staged at the Market House on Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20, 10am to 4pm. Admission is £1 adults, children free. Proceeds will go to the Market House.

MOULTON

NORTH Midlands Meccano Guild returns to Moulton Windmill this Saturday and Sunday to display their amazing models. Entrance by donation. Refreshments will be available and there is free parking and disabled access. Opening times are 10am to 4pm on both days.

SUTTON BRIDGE

WESTON

QUIZ night on Saturday, October 26, in the village hall. Doors open 6.30pm for 7.30pm start. Teams of up to six people, cost £5 per person includes a welcome drink and nibbles. The evening is to raise funds to buy a defibrillator and any donations will be gratefully accepted.

WEST PINCHBECK

ANNUAL meeting of the Senior Club is tomorrow at 2pm in the village hall. This gives members an opportunity to have their say on the way the club progresses in the coming year. Members of the committee stay in office for two years and as this is the end of that first year there will not be any election of officers. Non members are welcome to go along to see what the club is all about. Requirement for membership is to be over 50, male or female, there is no requirement to live in the parish of West Pinchbeck.

WHAPLODE ST 
CATHERINE

BINGO will be held in the Memorial Hall tomorrow, doors open at 6.30pm for 7.30pm. All are welcome and refreshments will be available. Phone 01406 540733 for more details.

This is just one of the events at the hall. Each week there is a well represented mums and toddlers session, every Wednesday, 10am to noon. Spaces available for children.
