From Crowland to Weston Hills


SATURDAY Strollers will be walking on January 5 at Ferry Meadows. Meet at the former St Guthlac School by 10.25am to share transport. Wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather, and bring a picnic lunch.

CROWLAND Women’s Institute is meeting on Tuesday at the British Legion Hall at 7.30pm. The speaker is Jan Bateman from Batemans Auctioneers, who appears on BBC’s Flog It and Antiques Roadshow. The competition is for an unusual Christmas gift.


FLEET Baptist Church weekly coffee mornings start again on Tuesday, 10am-noon

LADIES Fellowship monthly meetings also start on Tuesday at 2pm, when David Swallow, chef from the Chestnuts, will give a talk entitled ‘A passion foodie’. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes will be served.

Gosberton Clough and Risegate

THERE will be no Messy Church at the Gosberton Clough Methodist Chapel tomorrow. Clough Messy Church will resume in February.


BROAD Street Methodist Church will be open for coffee and snack lunches on Saturday, 10am-1pm. The normal Tuesday coffee mornings from 10am-noon will resume next week with a shoppers’ service at 10.45am.

Weston Hills

WESTON Parish Council meeting will be held in Weston Hills Village Hall at 7.30pm on Monday.

VILLAGE Hall Committee meeting is next Tuesday.

BINGO will be played on Saturday, January 12, 7pm, in the village hall.
