There will be more than 100 free events in the county between Friday and Sunday during Heritage Open Days.

For the full list visit lincsheritage.org/hod, but locally a number of heritage sites are opening their doors.

These include Ayscoughfee Hall Museum, Spalding Gentlemen’s Society and St Mary & St Nicolas Parish Church in Spalding; Holbeach Cemetery Chapels; and the World War 1 exhibition at Long Sutton Royal British Legion Club.

Pinchbeck Engine Land Drainage Museum and the pumping station at Pode Hole are both open, as is Chain Bridge Forge in Spalding and Crowland Abbey.
