BUSY bees decorated Gosberton Risegate Methodist Chapel and had everything ready for their harvest produce auction.

Then they had to take everything home again because so few people showed up.

Organist Molly Drakard said: “There were only about 15 of us that turned up. We took all the stuff and brought it all back again. It was just one of those dos.

“You can’t help these things. There’s that many dos on now.”

Eight people helped put the Monday night auction together, including decorating the tables.

Mrs Drakard said the main service itself the day before was well attended.
