CHATTERTON Water Tower is used to store treated water which is fed into the supply system for Spalding town and district.

The tower was officially opened on April 27, 1955

The water in the tower comes from Anglian Water’s treatment works at Bourne.

This supplies approximately 12,500 domestic customers and 775 commercial customers.

There are two tanks within the tower which together hold 3,409m3 of drinking water which is enough to supply 340 average households for a whole year.
