Deter thieves in Spalding by marking your bicycle with free kit

Free bicycle registering kits are still available to be collected from Spalding Police Station.

The kits enable bicycle owners to mark their property using a stencil with a unique serial number, that is submitted onto the Bike Register database.

Kits use UV marker ink, which will not be visible unless a UV light is used.

Once marked, should your bike be lost or stolen a police officer can call the Bike Register hotline to find who the legal owner of a bicycle is.

The blue ink version kit currently sells on the Bike Register website for £19.99. The free kits are available from the front desk at Spalding Police Station in Westlode Street.
