THE 1,000th visitor to the Curlew Centre’s library in Sutton Bridge received a box of chocolates to mark the occasion last week.
The library has been open for just under two months and is staffed by a team of 26 volunteers.
In addition to a wide range of books supplied by local people and Lincolnshire County Council, the library also has computers which can be hired by the hour.
Volunteer Chris Brewis said: “We are absolutely delighted that people are supporting the library so much, it has been welcomed with open arms by the community.
“It has proved to be a great way of bringing together different generations of people.”
The library is open from 10am-2pm Mondays and Tuesdays, 2pm-6pm Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 9am-1pm on Saturdays.
