The 70th anniversary of the Dambusters raid is being celebrated tomorrow at two venues in South Holland.
At Spalding Parish Church (7pm)the Royal British Legion’s Spalding branch is marking the anniversary with a concert by Kirton Brass Band. There will also be a guest speaker, Eric Quinney, an ex-RAF pilot who flew in the 1955 Dam Busters film. Admission is £5 and includes light refreshments and a raffle.
At Holbeach Community Centre (8pm) there is an evening of music from the war years and live music by Stuart Burr. Admission is £4 and those who attend are asked to take their own refreshments.
