A team of cyclists ended a 460-mile ride at Wyberton Playing Fields hoping to have raised about £15,000 in memory of a former colleague.

Workers and families from Coveris UK in Pinchbeck enjoyed a charity fun day during August bank holiday weekend for cancer charity CLIC Sargent in memory of former factory manager Steve Callaway who died of cancer last November.

The Steve Callaway Challenge was supported by more 600 people who cheered home the cyclists after a four-day ride from Herefordshire to Northumberland.

Mark Lapping, president of Coveris UK’s food and consumer division, said: “The day was a fantastic success in bringing people together from across the business.” Photo supplied.
