Parents clubbed together to give their children an evening to remember as they said goodbye to primary school forever.

Year 6 pupils at Crowland’s South View Primary School danced the night away at Crown Hall in the town after seven years together.

They arrived in various modes of flashy transport, with cars on display including a classic MG for Jada De Silva, a Mustang for Jake Chambers and a Mercedes for Jessica Lamb.

Kacey-Lee Crane arrived in a Renault Spider and Adam Blackbourn and Isobel Nicholson in a Porsche.

Pupils also enjoyed a buffet dinner and had their photographs taken for a special booklet they will all be given.

Kacey-Lee’s mum Trina Crane said: “It was lovely to see how parents pushed the boat out with the cars and the outfits.

“It was a lovely way to say goodbye to their old school. Many of them have been together since pre-school.”

And most will stay together, she said, as the majority will join the Deepings High School come September.
