Young achievers in Crowland have been honoured at a special awards ceremony.

Each year the parish council asks for nominations and 43 were put forward.

The results, as always, were very close, but top three winners were chosen in two categories – up to 13 years old and 13 to 18.

Each received a cheque and a certificate and all nominees were given a personalised certificate.

A spokesman for the parish council said members considered it a privilege to host the annual event, which is enjoyed by all nominees and their families.

Although they had the difficult job of choosing the top three in each category, The spokesman said all the nominees are winners and worthy of recognition.

The winners are:-

Up to age 13: 1 Eve Harris, 2 Ellie Coupland and 3 Harvey Moorhouse.

Age 13 to 18: 1 Charlotte Cureton, 2 Molly Bennett and 3 Kelly Wan.
