Police and vets in Spalding joined forces to help a swan found with an injured wing in the town.

The swan was spotted by police officers on patrol in Spalding at about 8.35am last Wednesday.

It was taken to Riverside Vets in Cradge Bank, Spalding, before the swan was handed over to RSPCA officers on Friday morning.

A spokesman for Riverside Vets said: “The swan was okay in itself and we didn’t perform an x-ray on its injured wing.

“We don’t know how the injury occurred as there were no obvious wounds or breaks.”
