Police believe thieves are targeting vehicles with tools on board after two vans were broken into while parked in a Bourne road.

Thieves got away with tools from one of the vans parked in Stephenson Way after the break-ins some time overnight between Sunday and Monday.

Nothing was taken from the other van and a neighbour reported hearing noise at about 2.30am on Monday.

Police are advising owners and users of commercial vehicles to be more security-conscious by parking in well-lit areas and marking tools with the SmartWater anti-theft system.

Meanwhile, a vehicle had a brick thrown through its window while parked in Hall Farm, Market Deeping some time overninght between Friday and Saturday.
