POLICE are warning South Holland residents not to leave themselves as easy pickings for thieves.
Sgt Stuart Hurst says reports are still coming in where owners have forgotten to lock their cars or homes and items have been stolen.
In the last week alone, a van has been stolen from Deeping St Nicholas after the keys were left inside, a car taken from Crowland and a handbag stolen from the passenger seat of a car parked in Holbeach.
Sgt Hurst said: “These three crimes are down to a brazen lack of security. It’s all in daylight hours.”
