A 26-year-old man jailed for 20 weeks after breaking into a Spalding shoe shop has been thrown out of the UK.

Lukasz Jalocha, who admitted to a burglary at Revills Shoes in Francis Street last September, was sent back to Poland under a deportation order jointly served by Lincolnshire Police and the Home Office.

Since 2010, Jalocha has been repeatedly arrested in relation to countless thefts, burglaries and drugs-related crimes in the Spalding area and his deportation was on public interest grounds due to what Lincolnshire Police described as his “prolific offending”.

Spalding community policing inspector Jim Tyner said: “This case is about using the immigration laws to our benefit and dealing effectively with those who have a harmful effect on our communities.”
