Police from four counties are joing forces in the search for a prisoner from Spalding who went missing from jail almost two weeks ago.
The hunt for Kevin Smith (29) who was jailed for five years three months for his part in a £34,000 bank raid has gone on since he was reported missing from a Suffolk prison on Monday 30 September.
Enquiries as to his whereabouts have extended from Hollesley Bay Prison, Suffolk, to police forces in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
MONDAY 1.30PM: A prisoner from Spalding sentenced for his part in a £34,000 bank raid has gone missing from a Suffolk jail.
Kevin Smith (29), formerly of Clay Lake, has been on the run since escaping from the category D Hollesley Bay prison last Monday.
Prison staff were alerted when Smith was missing from a 5pm check and Suffolk Constabulary is warning people who see him not to approach him.
Smith was jailed for five years three months in July for conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to steal motor vehicles after stealing £34,190 from a bank in Cambridgeshire where a wall was rammed with a digger and a cash machine ripped out.
The prisoner is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall, medium build with dark hair, brown eyes and a goatee beard.
