Police investigating an injury road accident in Spalding say a local woman has stepped forward in response to their witness appeal for information on a driver with a tiger tattoo.

Community policing inspector Jim Tyner said this week a woman has made contact with the investigating officer in the case and confirmed her involvement.

He said: “This investigation will continue in the normal fashion.”

The accident involved a white car colliding with a 13-year-old girl near Rooke’s pet store, in Commercial Road, at about 4pm on Monday, May 19.

The teenager sustained minor cuts and bruises in the accident.
