Police have issued an E-fit picture of a suspect they want to speak to after a man tried to force a boy of 11 into a van.

The attempted abduction of the Bourne Academy pupil took place between 8am and 8.30am on Tuesday, December 2.

The man involved tried to force the boy into a small black van.

If you recognise the man pictured here – or remember seeing the driver and his van – please call police now on 101.

Police say the tattoo shown on the man’s face and cheek is just an indication of the type seen.

The tattoo is described as “writing, but not English”.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing and officers are seeking the public’s help in reporting anything that could assist their enquiries.

Police are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of North Road and Stanley Street in Bourne during the period of the school run.

Witnesses can also make anonymous calls to the charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 55511.

Callers should quote incident 92 of December 2.
