POLICE say illegal hare coursers were spotted in four fields around Spalding on Tuesday.
Two or three men with three or four dogs were seen during in Jekils Bank and Beck Bank, Holbeach St Johns, and they are believed to be using a dark Mitsubishi Shogun.
Another group of men – believed to be using a white Transit van – were out with dogs on Beck Bank, Gosberton Clough, at 6.30pm and at Beach Bank, West Pinchbeck, at 8.30pm.
Police are urging South Holland residents to report hair coursers and trespassers as soon as they see them and to try to note down registration numbers of vehicles used.
A police spokesman said hare coursing tends to be a seasonal crime with trespassers moving in as soon as fields are cleared of crops.
