Parents at a Holbeach primary school have been warned to look after their children after an unconfirmed claim of an attempted abduction.

Police and senior staff at William Stukeley Primary School in Spalding Road were told that the occupants of a black BMW tried to speak to a young girl after pulling up alongside her on the morning of Thursday, October 22.

A school spokesman said: “We don’t have any more information but, out of courtesy, we did contact the police and also made parents aware of what may or may not have happened.”

Police have launched an investigation into the claims and a spokesman said: “We received information third-hand regarding an allegation of a suspicious incident that took place outside William Stukeley Primary School on Thursday, October 22.

“It was reported that a black BMW pulled up alongside a young girl and the occupants inside spoke to her.

“An investigation is ongoing to establish the exact circumstances involved but there have been no direct reports or complaints received, either by the school or by us.”

Anyone with information should call 101.
