A man wearing an offensive T-shirt in the public gallery at Spalding Magistrates’ Court was ordered to put his jacket on by presiding magistrate Ros Gulson.

Moments later the same man, Ruslans Pinkevicius (32), was fined £500 for driving without insurance in the street where he lives, Havelock Street, Spalding. He must also pay £85 costs and a £50 victim surcharge.

Marie Stace, prosecuting, said police arrested him on September 7 because they suspected he was driving with excess alcohol and he admitted having no insurance.

She said he was under the legal limit, but was disqualified for drink-drive and had no insurance in November 2011.
