A motorcyclist who died after a three-vehicle crash on the A16 in Crowland on Wednesday has been named by police.
Marcel Banom (37), of Peak Hill, Cowbit, died at the scene of a crash between his Honda motorcycle, a Volkswagen Passat and a lorry on Wednesday morning.
An inquest into the death of Mr Banom, who worked at Dalehead Foods in Spalding, was opened and adjourned today.
Meanwhile, the front page of our sister paper, the Spalding Guardian, on Thursday had a reference to a story on page three that said: “Lorry driver arrested after 37-year-old motorcyclist killed on A16”.
This is, of course, incorrect as a 24-year-old man arrested at the scene was the Passat driver and we apologise for any distress caused to the lorry driver and his family.
The driver of the Passat, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. was released on police bail until June 19.
