A 79-YEAR-old Long Sutton woman who admits stabbing her husband was told on Monday that she will not face a prison sentence.
Florence Thomson, of Sturton Way, who arrived at court walking with a zimmer frame, pleaded guilty to wounding Keith Thomson with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm on November 11.
Judge Michael Heath adjourned sentence at Lincoln Crown Court.
Thomson, who had previously been remanded in custody, was released on bail on condition that she lives at an address in Scotland.
The judge said: “I’m going to adjourn sentence so that the Probation Service in Scotland can prepare a report to help me.
“I’m not going to send Mrs Thomson to prison.”
