A large amount of fishing tackle has been stolen from a shed in Bourne during the past week.

Thieves broke into a shed in Meadowgate and stole the items between 5pm on Friday and noon on Monday.

Anyone with information should call 101, stating incident 248 of January 19.

Police in Bourne are also trying to trace nails and foil insulation stolen from a building site in the town.

The theft happened in The Ridings, part of the Elsea Park estate, from where seven boxes of Paslode nails and 12 to 14 rolls of foil insulation were stolen overnight on Monday.

When calling police, quote incident 49 of January 20.

Meanwhile, there was an attempted burglary at a house in Harrington Street, Bourne, where intruders tried to get in through a side door.

The attempted burglary took place between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday.

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 283 of January 17.

In other crime news, a vehicle has been damaged while parked outside Market Deeping Antiques and Craft Centre, High Street, during Sunday afternoon.
