SOUTH Lincolnshire’s firefighters were called out to two agricultural fires last week.

On Wednesday, a crew from Holbeach was called to Red Cow Drove in Moulton at about 6.10pm to a baler which had caught fire.

The blaze, which was caused by friction in some bearings, was extinguished using one hose reel jet.

The following day, two appliances from Boston responded to a fire in Streetway, Wyberton, at 6.42pm.

A 50-gallon oil drum was deliberately set on fire, causing smoke damage to the ceiling of a farm building.

It was extinguished using one hose reel jet.
