A family in Gedney Drove End are desperately trying to salvage their Christmas after presents were stolen during a break-in at their home.

It happened at a bungalow in Marsh Road where items, including 22-inch Samsung, 22-inch LG and 39-inch JVC TVs, were stolen between noon and 5.30pm on Wednesday.

Lee Bliss, who lives at the bungalow, said: “It’s the second time this has happened to us in three years, although it wasn’t as bad as the last time when they ransacked the place.

“We had an alarm fitted afterwards but it didn’t stop them from doing it again and now we just want to get things together for Christmas.”

Meanwhile, a gang has broken into a house in Donington, where presents, money and a mobile phone were stolen.

The burglary at a house in Cowley Road is thought to have happened between 10am and 6.15pm on Sunday.

Anyone with information should call Spalding CID on 101 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
