Police are urging farmers in The Suttons to do all they can to halt illegal raves in buildings on their land.

Installing PIR (passive infrared) beams that detect heat given off by people, adding “internal sounders” and putting barriers across farm tracks and across the entrances to buildings are some of the ways farmers can put a stop to the raves.

PCSO Ben Harrington, from The Suttons Community Beat Team, put out the plea in response to “a number of reports of unauthorised gatherings being set up in farm buildings”.

The police community support officer has asked people to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 if they see convoys of vehicles heading towards farm buildings or parking nearby. Police also want residents to call them if they hear loud music being played from farm buildings.
