DRIVING a car the morning after drinking with friends has cost a man £350, as well as a 20-month disqualification.
Julijus Kristophitis (26) was stopped by police on High Road, Whaplode, when he was seen to cross the white lines in the centre of the road on “various occasions” at 7.55am on November 14.
On Thursday, Spalding Magistrates’ Court heard he gave a breath sample of 83 microgrammes – more than twice the drink-drive limit.
In mitigation, it was said Kristophitis, of Gordon Crescent, Wisbech, did not feel drunk and offered to drive his friends to work as a favour.
He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
