POLICE struggling to control an arrested man put him over the bonnet of a police car – but Daniel Bristow damaged it by repeatedly banging his head on the bonnet, magistrates heard.
Bristow (34), of Beech Avenue, Bourne, had earlier called police to arrest his partner.
The partner, who lives in Spalding, was freed without charge but she later called police to arrest him, the court was told.
Solicitor Andrea Clarke, mitigating, said it was “tit for tat” and police did not pursue the matter for which Bristow was originally arrested.
Miss Clarke told the court: “Looking at the photographs it doesn’t seem as if there is any damage.”
Bristow, who is currently on a community order, was conditionally discharged for a year and ordered to pay £35 prosecution costs. He pleaded guilty to both offences.
