A KIRTON man accused of a string of porn offences, including possessing more than 1,800 indecent images of children, has appeared in court.

A KIRTON man accused of a string of porn offences, including possessing more than 1,800 indecent images of children, has appeared in court.

Barry Jones (66), of Hemington Way, also faces nine charges of taking indecent photographs of a child, along with four allegations of voyeurism.

In addition, he is accused of possessing four extreme pornographic images portraying sex with an animal on April 10, 2010.

He faces six charges of possessing indecent photographs of children on October 4, of last year, totalling 1,807 – 14 of which are listed as moving images.

The nine charges of taking indecent photographs of children date from between August 1 to October 14, of last year. The images range from level one to four.

Between September 1 and October 14, of last year, he is alleged to have committed four acts of voyeurism.

All offences are alleged to have taken place in Kirton.

Jones did not enter a plea when he appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

He was released on bail under the condition he has no unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.

His case will be committed to Lincoln Crown Court, but Jones will be back in Boston Magistrates’ Court for commital proceedings on June 8.
