A SPALDING man who is facing a string of charges including theft and assault has had his case adjourned until next week.
Christopher Morris (25), of Ayscough Avenue, must wait to see a probation officer because he is on the prolific and priority offenders scheme.
Angela Jones, from the Probation Service, made a request for proceedings to be adjourned at Spalding Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Morris is accused of stealing four cans of beer from Aldi, valued at £2.85, and assaulting Simon Alderson and Paul Thurston on June 6.
He faces further charges of taking a Nissan Micra from a car park off Winsover Road, Spalding, without the owner’s consent on June 25, driving without insurance and failing to stop for police on the A16 on June 26.
He is also accused of possessing Class B drug cannabis.
Morris was granted bail, with the condition that he does not enter Aldi in Spalding, does not contact Paul Thurston and remains at his home address between 7pm and 7am.
The case will now be heard on July 12.
