POLICE seized a young driver’s car after he was caught driving anti-socially.
The Vauxhall Corsa was seized by officers in Pinchbeck Road, near the junction of New Road, in the early hours of last Monday morning under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act.
The act give sofficers the power to take vehicles being used in a manner which causes alarm, distress or annoyance if the driver has been subject to a previous warning in the last 12 months.
The 23-year-old from Cowbit has been warned on Sunday, August 19.
He was also reported separately for driving offences.
Insp Jim Tyner said: “Several drivers have received warnings under this legislation in recent weeks, so this seizure should remind them that, if they are caught on a second occasion, we can and will seize their car.”
