BREAKING NEWS: Boy aged 12 attacked while walking dog in Fleet

Police are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked assault on a 12-year-old boy in Fleet.

The incident happened around 2pm yesterday (Sunday) on a public footpath alongside a field off Lowgate, opposite the entrance to QV Foods.

The victim was walking his dog along the track when he was approached by a man, who hit him in the face with a tree branch, causing injury to his lip.

The man is described as a black male, aged about 35, 6ft tall, and of broad build. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt with blue stripes, jeans, and had a shaved head.

Anyone with information should call PC Steve Wells on 101, quoting incident number 306 of March 2. Report crimes anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
