TWO council tenants in Bourne have been handed anti-social behaviour injunctions for “persistent” harassment including threats and use of violence.
Lincoln County Court granted injunctions against Leanne Prentice and Anthony Martin, of Woodview, following a request from South Kesteven District Council.
The pair face being arrested by police if they are found to be causing nuisance, annoyance, harassment, alarm or distress.
A spokesman for the council said it uses the powers as a last resort for the most serious incidents of anti-social behaviour. The enlisted solicitors after victims suffered persistent problems including the threats and use of violence.
The housing management team said there was a significant risk of harm and it had to act to protect residents.
Coun Terl Bryant, said: “This is an excellent result for all of the teams involved. Residents should be reassured by the council’s ability to react positively and quickly to protect vulnerable tenants and protect the environment for those who wish to live peacefully.”
