Arrest made after windows smashed in Spalding

UPDATE FRIDAY 10.30AM: A 23-year-old man from Spalding is in police custody after being arrested in connection with a window-smashing spree in the town.

The man was arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of criminal damage after four windows were found to have been smashed in Sheep Market.

A betting shop, newsagents and former off-licence were all targeted overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.

THURSDAY 10AM: Vandals have gone on a wrecking spree overnight in Spalding, smashing the windows of several business premises in the town centre.

All three premises targeted are in Sheep Market where a newsagents, betting shop and a former off-licence, now empty, had their windows smashed.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, stating incident39 of April 10.
