A CHILD abduction and sexual assault case involving a Sutton Bridge woman has been before magistrates.
Victoria Dix (22), of Nene Meadows, appeared with Liam Wells (26), of North End Yard, King’s Lynn, at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Wells is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Dersingham on January 27 this year, and detaining the girl in Dersingham on the same date. Dix is charged with intent to pervert the course of justice in relation to the case.
She allegedly made a series of false statements to police and lied about her phone usage, between February 3 and 19 this year in Dersingham.
The court heard all the charges are connected.
The pair, who have not entered any pleas, have now had their cases sent to Norwich Crown Court to be dealt with. They are due to appear on August 2 for a preliminary hearing.
Wells was released on conditional bail, and Dix on unconditional bail.
