Stolen car found burnt out in Spalding

Police believe a burnt out car found abandoned in a field on the outskirts of Spalding was stolen.

The Toyota Corolla was found on land off Horseshoe Road just after 2am last Thursday when residents reported a car on fire to police.

A Lincolnshire Police spokeswoman said the car was believed to have been stolen from the Cross Street area but there is no indication yet whether it was set alight deliberately and the fire caused by a mechanical fault.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 17 of Febrary 7. Photo (NIKKI GRIFFIN): SG070213-447NG.
