Man three times the drink-drive limit

Police followed a driver through the streets of Spalding on January 13 and found he was more than three times the legal drink-drive limit.

Kestutis Lukosvicius (36) was “almost completely on the wrong side of the road” when he negotiated a right hand bend and narrowly missed parked cars before he was stopped, Spalding magistrates heard.

Lukosvicius, of Main Road, Carrington, near Boston, must do 140 hours unpaid work and pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

He was banned from driving for 28 months, but can cut seven months off if he takes a course.

He admitted having 114 microgrammes of alcohol in breath – the legal limit is 35mcgs.
