Man must pay £350 to youth he injured

A man who injured a teenager in an assault must pay £350 compensation to his victim.

Jacob Askham (22), of Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, appeared in court on Thursday for sentence after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to assaulting the 17-year-old on October 5.

He was given an 18 month community order and will be electronically tagged for 12 weeks, remaining at home between 7pm and 7am on nights when he is not working. Askham must also pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

Presiding magistrate Sally Ruttley said the court hoped he would have some anger management sessions during the community order.
