The scene of the hit and run in Bourne Road, Spalding.

A Sleaford man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a hit and run in Spalding in September has been rebailed until April 19.

The driver was arrested after a police appeal to trace a silver van they believed had hit 27-year-old Tim Osborn as he cycled home from work just after 9pm on September 14.

His mum Lynne found his body in a ditch beside the road just yards from their home in Bourne Road, Pode Hole, after she became worried when he failed to return home.

The 41-year-old driver was also arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident.

He was questioned about the incident and released on bail until November 28, when he was rebailed until yesterday.

Police investigations are continuing.
