All creatures great and small became more than a line from an assembly song for children at Gosberton Clough and Risegate Primary School.

That’s because they were able to get up close and personal with some exotic animals, including a tree frog, snake, tarantula and cockroaach, during a visit by ZooLab animal workshop.

Teacher Jean Gibbin said: “The children really enjoyed the hands-on demonstration and ZooLab demonstrator Chris Knowles told them some interesting facts about his assortment of animals.

“It was a very enjoyable experience and the children all gained a lot of information from the afternoon.”
