A HOST of creative contributions made Holbeach Arts Festival a huge success.

The two-day event at All Saints’ Church featured demonstrations ranging from quilters to needlecraft, paper craft to lacemaking, spinning and weaving.

Local schools provided displays and children from William Stukeley school enjoyed the crafts and took part on an arts festival quiz.

There were also around 120 paintings and floral arrangements on display.

On Saturday, there was a cooking demonstration on how to make tapas, followed by a tasting session.

A photography workshop focusing on local portraiture proved popular, as did a Rock Night and concert with Holbeach Town Band and SADOS.

Paula Adaway, of the organising committee, said: “It showed how the church can be a perfect venue for all kinds of musical entertainment.

“This was the third year we’ve held the arts festival and one artist who was exhibiting her work said she’s looking forward to more events in the future as All Saints’ was becoming known as the most progressive of church festivals.”
