Lincolnshire County Council’s Big Society Fund is again open for business, enabling councillors to support local groups and activities.
County councillors voted to continue with the fund last month, which means they will each be allocated £2,000 a year to give to deserving causes.
In previous years the cash has benefited residents of all ages across Lincolnshire, funding a diverse range of projects from village halls to sports clubs.
Coun Sue Woolley, exceutive coucillor for health, housing and communities, said: “The Big Society Fund had proved to be very popular, enabling councillors to support small groups and charities which are the lifeblood of our towns and villages.
“Often a small sum of money is all a group needs to get off the ground.”
