New research has found that £254million worth of home cooked food is being wasted every month as 75 per cent of Brits admit to ditching their dinner because it’s inedible.

Whether it’s you, a friend or a family member whose recipes are more of a tragedy than a triumph, enter the Kenwood Disaster Chef competition to turn your cooking catastrophes into culinary masterpieces and win a £4,000 prize package!

Fifteen successful competitors will receive six weeks’ training to improve their skills, using step-by-step video tutorial recipes and a fantastic Kenwood CHEF Sense, worth £449.99.

They’ll also get a weekly food hamper over the course of their training, containing a range of fresh and exciting ingredients. One winner will then be selected to be Kenwood Chef 2014 and win the prize package which includes a £3,000 kitchen makeover, £500 worth of Kenwood product and a £500 cookery school course.

The closing date for entries is next Sunday, October 5.
