Parish councillors in Sutton Bridge will hold a special meeting to decide whether to take legal action against South Holland District Council over its decision to give planning consent for a £165million biomass gasifier.

The parish council has set aside a £10,000 fighting fund, but is waiting to hear from lawyers before deciding whether to go for a judicial review.
In the meantime, EnergyPark Sutton Bridge is pressing ahead with an application to the Environment Agency (EA) for an operational permit for the plant, due to be built on industrial land at Wingland.
