Minister behind GM

The government minister in charge of food and farming is encouraging farmers to turn around the image of GM.

Environment secretary Owen Paterson has made it clear he backs the controversial technology and wants farmers, policy makers and scientists to make the case to the public about the potential benefits of GM beyond the food chain, for example in reducing the use of pesticides and other inputs.
