Legion appeal for new premises

Spalding Royal British Legion (RBL) hopes local businesses will help them find a new home after outgrowing their existing base.

Up to 30 members meet every second Wednesday of the month at a converted house in Spring Gardens but the branch wants to organise functions and indoor sports events for which a larger building will be needed.

Branch vice chairman Frank White said: “We’ve had our existing premises for a long time, but we haven’t got a car park and there’s no room to store our stuff.

“We’re looking for a new commercial premises to hold darts matches, quiz nights and other functions where we can meet together in comfort.”

Anyone who can help should call Mr White on 01775 766180.
