An open day for artists interested in being involved in the next stage of Transported is to be held on February 6.

Transported, the scheme launched in May last year to involve more communities in the arts, is to be extended.

The organisers will be commissioning artists to ensure more quality and original arts experiences for local people.

Eleven separate areas of activity have been identified for the next phase – visit www.transportedart.com/moving-on-to-phase-ii for details of these.

Applications are being invited from artists for the Open Book, Live and Local and Creative Consultation strands, with closing dates in February and March.

Open days are at Spalding Library (10am to 11.30am), The Swan at Moulton (12noon to 2pm), and The Wheatsheaf, Swineshead (3-5pm).
