Tulip Radio is the latest community group to be given a boost by the Lincolnshire Co-op’s Community Champions scheme.
As the Spalding Co-op’s chosen good cause, Tulip saw a share of the profits from the Wygate Park food store over a three-month period. The scheme sees the Co-op make a donation to their chosen charity or group every time a Co-op member shops using their dividend card. Shoppers showed their support for Tulip by raising £531.03.
The money raised will be put towards microphones, chairs and acoustic panels that will enable more people to get in the studio and get their message across.
“This donation will help us give local community groups and charities the facilities to broadcast their message to our audience,” said station manager Chris Carter.
