Members of Holbeach Rotary enjoyed the club’s 21st anniversary with good food, fun and fellowship.

Around 70 members and their friends sat down to some good food at Spalding Golf Club to mark 75 years since the group received its official club charter from Rotary International.

Guest of honour was Rotary district governor Margaret Morley, who attended with her husband Andrew.

Speeches followed and guests were entertained with a talk and demonstration by John Gisbey, a member of the Rotary Club of Sandwich in Kent.

He talked about a range of instruments he plays, including the bagpipes and the Appalachian dulcimer, a type of string instrument which he went on to demonstrate in action by playing a number of tunes.

Club treasurer Ron Scott said: “The evening went swimmingly.

“The food was wonderful and we enjoyed some great company. It was an evening of fun and fellowship.”
